Focus 2016 - Book Now

Coming to Focus will be the best decision you ever made!  It will be a time of fantastic community, great fun and spiritually so fulfilling. God will move powerfully over the week and that you don’t want to miss out!

These go on sale at the end of April/beginning of May. A Weekend Pass allows guests on-site from Friday when registration opens until Tuesday morning at 10.00am, that's three full days on-site and four evenings. There will be a section on the camp-site which will be for Weekend Camping which is not far from our STN camp site. Bill Johnson will be speaking over the weekend too!

If you stay the whole week, it finishes Thursday evening at 8pm to help with the departure of guests. Seminar streams include Bible Stream, Sharpen Your Life Skills, St Mellitus, Family Life, Leadership, Unmissable One-Offs, Creative and the Dating Course and a Recovery Meeting in the morning for those struggling with addictions.

STN/The Sports Factory are running the Get Active programme this year: Pilates, running, morning fitness sessions, Zumba, five-a-side tournaments, a Sports Day, cricket, football, rounders, touch rugby, Boccai, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, dodge ball, football cage, Free & Fit sessions, sports seminars, sports quiz and Latin dancing. Wow!

There will have two large on-site cafes, one of which will be run by Compassion and will have a soft play area the other by Tearfund which is a great place to meet friends and have leisurely coffee breaks with the daily newspapers and will run an evening program for adults that will have events such as storytelling and acoustic music sessions. In addition to the 2 cafes, there will be 2 coffee stalls, one frozen yogurts stall, one gelato stall, one smoothie stall, one vegan food stall and other various food stalls. There will also be an on-site Farm Shop selling a wide range of products – from BBQ meats to basics like milk and bread to nibbles and houmous. You can also pre-order on-line food from the local big supermarkets to be delivered during the week - these are dropped at a central delivery point for you to pick up during the week.

On-site giant sandpit run by St Peter’s Brighton and a fuller Get Creative program for both children and adults this year, and St Mary’s East Molesey will be running a large craft afternoon.
Bear Grylls Cub Race and their large obstacle course will be on offer for children aged 4 to 13 in the afternoons on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

An events company will be joining us onsite and bringing the following activities: laser tag, surf simulator, crazy golf, mega slide and a food stall selling popcorn, slush and candy floss. Treasure hunt on Saturday during the day to help the children acclimatise to the new site.

Activities for children and adults in the local area:

  • Moors Valley Country Park & Forest is an amazing resource 10 minutes’ drive from site. The free activities that they offer include: wooden play area, trails, mazes, zip slide, space net, climbing boulder, fortress of towers and crossings, slides, swings, sand area, bike tracks, Gruffalo area.
  • Go Ape additionally operate at Moors Valley and have very kindly offered a 20% discount on all of their attractions to Focus guests.
  • New Forest Water Park is additionally a 10-minute drive away and offers the following activities: cable wakeboard, Aqua Park and kayaking.

Adult programme update is as follows:

  • Outdoor cinema on the Sunday evening.
  • Somerley will be operating a bar in the Walled Garden which will also have a Cocktail Bar and Champagne Bar.
  • In addition to the Afternoon Concert and Come & Sing events that we held last year we are planning an evening Taize worship event which will offer a reflective and contemplative element to the program. We are also looking at holding a separate orchestral worship session one afternoon or evening.
  • St Sepulchres will be hosting a large bonfire one evening,
  • A Well Being Tent that will offer massages throughout the week.
  • Pete Greig, 24/7 & Emmaus Road will be hosting the prayer, prophecy and worship. 
  • The Out Of Focus programme will be filled with lots of fun evening entertainment and the very popular Date My Mate event!

Children will be having an amazing week too with teaching in the morning sessions for them including looking at is Jesus’ Journeys.

There will be a fenced in area for the 1 and 2 year olds, with a helpdesk in the Focus Kids Village for parents that are having difficulties with their children and need additional support, or if general questions or queries come up during the week there is always a place for parents to go.
