We believe that worship is a lifestyle; we love, adore, and praise God with the whole of our lives. But we also prioritise worshipping corporately, as a church family. We worship first and foremost, because God is worthy of our worship. And as we encounter Him, we believe that we will see hearts healed and restored, lives transformed and people equipped and empowered to live for Him.

We’re extremely blessed to have a whole bunch of talented musicians, who are passionate about Jesus, form the band for the worship that is lead at our 11am and 7pm services. We have musicians ranging from Electric Guitarists to Saxophonists and so are able to be diverse in sound and authentic in practice. If St Thomas is your church, you’re in a Connect Group here, and you’re an excellent musician or singer with a heart for God, then serving on the Worship Team could be for you! Get in touch with our Worship Pastor, Joy Hartles, who would love to hear from you.

The St Thomas Choirs are a great way to get to know the church and its local community. The two choirs sing different kinds of music, but both are fun, friendly and welcoming groups open to anyone at all. Come and join us!

Our Community Gospel Choir rehearses on a Wednesday night, 7:30-9pm at our Grove Walk site. We sing a mix of gospel and contemporary music, and we are open to absolutely anyone regardless of age or previous singing experience. There is no audition, no music-reading involved and no charge.

Our Parish Choir rehearses on a Friday night, 7:30-9pm at our Earlham Road site. We are a mixed-voice choir, welcoming all ages and singing a range of sacred music. We also sing regularly at St Thomas’ 9:30am Sunday service. There is some music reading involved with this choir, so though we do not audition the group, some basic musical knowledge would be helpful to those wishing to join us.

If you would like any further details about either of the St Thomas Choirs, please contact our Choral Director, Megan Rawling.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
