There are 4 ways you could be involved in the Prison Team:

Services
Being part of the team from STN who take bi-monthly Sunday Services in the chapel. This is the easiest way to discover if prison's work is for you. You would be part of a team of about 6 taking two services, arriving at HMP Norwich at 08.00 and leaving by 12.00. All new participants would meet Ian Johnson informally before their first visit for brief training. Next services: 17 September, 17 December.

Prison Alpha
We run three courses per year in HMP Norwich on Wednesday afternoons from 1.00 - 4.30. Each course last about 7 weeks. Prior training essential. Next course: 1,8,15,22,29 Nov, 5,12 Dec. You would be part of a team of about 8.

Mentoring
As part of STN's commitment to supporting ex-offenders, we want to assign to each ex-offender who would commit himself/herself to meeting regularly and offering friendship and advice. Mentors do not offer financial support. A commitment for 12 - 18 months is desirable. Training given.

Prayer
Our work in Prisons is underpinned by prayer. If you would like to meet regularly to pray for this important work, please contact Ian Johnson.
